[origin: WO2005012662A1] The invention relates to grating for a de-watering channel, a yard gulley or similar surface de-watering devices. The grating comprises an accessible and/or transversable top side which is formed by a surface of an essentially plane-parallel plate body, a plurality of de-watering openings in the plate body and a lower side comprising support structures on a lower surface of the plate body. Said support structures are connected in a single-piece to the plate body. The support structures comprise support sections between the de-watering openings and bearing areas in order to place the grating on an upper edge of a channel body, a tank for run-off or similar bodies which are built into the base. The supporting structures comprise identical wall thickness' in the direction of the surface enabling stability to be improved with a reduced amount of material.
