Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1661473A2] The gaiter (1) has an intermediate flap (4) to articulate a pad (2) and a solleret (3) around a transversal axis at general direction of the pad. The pad, the solleret and the flap are made of a metal sheet. Lower part of the pad partially covers an upper segment of the flap and a lower segment of the flap partially covers an upper part of the solleret. A section of the pad elastically tightens lower front part of the leg. The intermediate flap covers part of a safety boot (5) corresponding to instep, and prevents penetration of high pressure fluid jet between the pad and the solleret.
