[origin: EP1662034A1] A washing machine includes a drum, a condensing duct to condense air which flows in from the drum, a cooling water supplying unit to supply cooling water to the inside of the condensing duct so that the air flowing into the condensing duct from the drum is condensed and a control unit to control the cooling water supplying unit so that the cooling water is supplied intermittently. Thus, a washing machine is provided that is capable of reducing the amount of cooling water consumed, increasing an efficiency of drying laundry and shortening the time for drying the laundry.
