Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1662056A2] A method for controlling the flow rate and temperature from a sanitary fitting, e.g. a mixer tap, has separate touch pad sensors (2, 3, 4) for adjusting the temperature and flow rate. A longer central pad (2) controls the flow rate with repeated pressing to increase the rate and with the shut off signal effected by a single short finger tap into the pad. The initial switch on is at a modest flow rate. The temperature of the water outlet is regulated by finger pressure on the outer pad sensors (3, 4). The sensors are piezoelectric or capacitive sensors.
