[origin: EP1662620A2] A housing (5) of a first connector (1) has a receptacle chamber (8) for first contact elements (9) and a locking device (10). A slider (19) is arranged on the housing and forms a receptacle (29) for second contact elements (3). A second connector (3) has a receptacle (31) for first complementary contacts (32), and a second locking device (33). A holding device (20,36) does not allow the slider to slide so that the second contacts make contacts with second complementary contacts (34), until the first locking device is completely connected to the second locking device.
