Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005027707A1] The invention relates to a device (10) for wringing liquid out of a wiping covering of a surface wiping device (12) by spinning. Said surface wiping device comprises a wiping head (16), which is held on a handle (14) and which has two supporting arms (17, 18). The wiping covering (22) is held on said supporting arms, and these supporting arms can be pivoted back and forth between a position, which is oriented perpendicular to the handle (14), and a position that is oriented diagonal or parallel to the handle (14). The inventive device (10) comprises a container (24) inside of which a wiping head holder is placed that can be rotationally driven and which has a receiving area (72) into which the wiping head (16) together with the wiping covering (22) can be inserted. The aim of the invention is to improve the device (10) by providing it with a compact design and enabling the wiping covering (22) to be wrung with a low consumption of energy. To this end, the invention provides that the receiving area (72) receives the wiping head (16) with the supporting arms (17, 18) pivoted forward in the direction pointing away from the handle (14), whereby the receiving area has stops (73a, 74b) against which the supporting arms (17, 18) can be placed in the area of their upper side facing away from the wiping covering (22).
