[origin: WO2005030455A1] The invention relates to a device for producing molded concrete pieces, particularly concrete building bricks (10), hollow concrete elements, or similar. Said device comprises a mold frame (21) that is provided with at least one mold cavity (14) into which concrete can be filled. The mold cavity (14) is laterally delimited by vertical mold walls (15, 16) of the mold frame (21). At least one scraping member (22) by means of which concrete can be scraped off an exterior face of the molded piece so as to form a rough surface is associated with the mold cavity (14). Said scraping process preferably takes place during an upward movement of the mold frame (21) when the molded pieces are removed from the mold. According to the invention, the scraping member (22) is provided with an exterior surface (24) that is at least partly curved from a cross-sectional perspective on a side facing the molded piece. Preferably, said exterior surface (24) is embodied in a continuously curved manner, the curve having a constant radius. The concrete building bricks (10) produced in said fashion are provided with a rough surface in the area of vertical sides (13), said rough surface being of special quality and being configured in a particularly uniform manner.
