Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005026026A1] The invention relates to a method for separating sheet-type products in which multiple withdrawals are avoided. To this end, a retaining device (15, 17), not only on one side but also on the other side of the sheet (14) to be separated, ensures that sheet-type product torn together with the sheet to be separated is retained. While the first retaining device (12) is located opposite the separating device with a separating gap (13) therebetween and is constantly active, the second retaining device (15, 17), in front of or in the separating gap, works from the other side of the separating gap (13) and is activated once the sheet to be separated is reliably seized by the separating device and is deactivated when it leaves the separating gap (13).
