Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2858814A1] A plant for aerobic treatment of a liquid containing organic waste uses microorganisms immobilized on mobile carrier particles, and comprises a reactor with a bubbling air injector and a lateral de-gassing section. A plant for aerobic treatment of a liquid containing organic waste uses microorganisms immobilized on mobile carrier particles, and comprises a reactor with a bubbling air injector and a lateral de-gassing section. The plant consists of a main biological reactor chamber (1) divided to form at least one immersed chamber (2), open at its two ends and having an ascending circulation, and at least one adjoining chamber (3) with a descending circulation. It has an injector (13) for air in the form of bubbles immediately adjacent to the lower end of the immersed chamber(s) (2), and at least one lateral decanting and de-gassing section (5) which has a common vertical wall (9) with the main reactor chamber, and a sloping base (12) that enables particles (14) carrying micro-organisms to fall to the bottom of the de-gassing section. The decanting section also contains at least one vertical partition (10, 10') lying parallel to the common wall and having its lower edge above the sloping base.
