Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005033243A1] The invention relates to a hot-melt-type adhesive, comprising A) 20 - 95 wt. % of at least one sugar alcohol and B) 5 - 80 wt. % of at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer. The inventive adhesive is water-soluble and is used to glue materials together, said materials being able to be recycled and/or used several times. Said hot-melt-type adhesive is used particularly for gluing materials containing cellulose, for example, a cardboard cover, and is used in the production of multi-layered glued papers, e.g. envelopes, tissues, and is used in book bindings and for stickers. The inventive hot-melt-type adhesive is characterised in that can be easily biologically decomposed and after storing at a temperature of 180 DEG C over a three hour period has a colour index according to Gardner of less than or equal to 10.
