[origin: WO2005031135A1] Disclosed is a method for delivering a medium that is combustible in an internal combustion engine. According to said method, combustion air is fed before and/or at least temporarily along with the medium and is compressed in the combustion chamber/s of the internal combustion engine. Steam is delivered in the final phase of compression and/or following compression of the combustion air. Preferably, the steam is delivered in an isochoric or substantially isochoric manner at the top dead center.
