Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005029208A2] Disclosed is an interface for process computers, particularly regulators or controllers of electric drives, which is used for coupling said process computers in an information-technological manner to other computer nodes, e.g. operator terminals, control station computers and/or diagnostic computers, Internet clients, other process computer nodes, or superimposed controllers. Said interface comprises: one or several communication ports that are allocated to the other computer node/s; one or several function ports for the process computer/s that is/are to be connected; one or several submodules which are respectively mounted in a program-relevant and/or circuit-relevant manner between the communication ports and the function ports for bi-directional data communication and/or data processing while being configured so as to operate or trigger the process computer/s that is/are to be connected, configure said process computer/s, and/or diagnose the same in addition to the technical-physical processes influenced by the process computer/s via the function port/s; and one or several devices that are programmed in a descriptive language or markup language, especially XML (eXtensible markup language), and are used for accepting, confirming, and processing order documents which are received via the communication port/s and are written in said language. The submodule/s is/are integrated in or can be or is/are coupled to said device so as to execute the order documents or convert the job documents into process computer-triggering signals.
