[origin: WO2005027160A2] The invention relates to an arrangement which is used to monitor electric devices with stray light arcs. The aim of the invention is to detect the occurrence of light arcs on lines, cables and/or contact points and/or in devices in a more reliable manner than already known solutions. The inventive arrangement is made of at least one electric conductor which is connected to devices, modules or circuit parts or circuit parts of the electric device, at least one light wave conductor which guides the light produced by the formation of a light arc onto an optical/electrical converter, also comprising a monitoring and evaluating device which is electrically connected to a converter. The light wave conductor surrounds one or several wires of the above-mentioned electrical conductor and simultaneously electrically insulates a line or the cover of a cable.
