[origin: EP1666158A2] The method involves a dosing cylinder (11) which has two regions (1,2) with one inlet (1a,2a) with inlet line arrangement (L1a,L2a) and another outlet (1b,2b) with outlet line arrangement (L1b,L2b) to which a controller is connected. The coating material is conveyed to the coating device (Z) alternately from each of the two areas through its outlet during filling through the inlet in each of the two areas. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Dosing piston of coating device; and (B) Coating system.
