[origin: EP1666679A1] The butt joint has a retaining profile (9), a connection profile (9'), and an joint connector with two bracket parts (17, 18) that are movably connected with each other. The bracket parts are fixed in variable angular positions. The two bracket parts are respectively fastenable to the retaining profile and the connection profile in a final assembly position such that the joint connector is hidden from the connection profile in the final assembly position. The two bracket parts are articulately connected through an axis (19) that is movable in a grooved guide formed as a slot.
