[origin: EP1666798A2] The cooking apparatus (1) has a cooking chamber that is opened via a cooking chamber door (2). It has a heating system as well as a control or regulation system that works together with a measuring system to control the cooking process in the cooking chamber via the heating system and a switch system (3). The switch system comprises a single switch that operates together with the control or regulation system. The switch may be an On/Off switch. The switch may also be a single operating element of the cooking apparatus. The control or regulation system may work together with a storage system for storing measurement data from the measuring system in order to guide the cooking process. .
