Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2859387A1] The tee (1) consists of a lower part (6) with a base (8) that is fixed to a practice mat (9), and an upper part with a conical or parabolic surface (3) shaped to receive a golf ball (2), e.g. from an automatic dispenser. The upper part has a raised curved projection (4) on one side to prevent the ball from rolling off as it is dropped onto the tee. The width of the projection is no more than three-quarters of the tee's diameter, and when the ball is at rest its surface is some 2mm away from the projection.
