[origin: WO2005031933A1] The invention relates to an adapter for installing switching and/or safety equipment in a cabinet or the like of' a low- voltage distribution unit. The adapter comprises at least one baseplate and two side walls extending transversely to the baseplate, at least substantially parallel to each other. Means for connection to bus bars mounted in the cabinet or the like are provided on one side of the baseplate, and on the other side of which baseplate means for mounting switching and/or safety equipment are provided. The side walls are separate members, which can be connected to the baseplate.
