Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005022785A1] The invention relates to fibre-optic communication devices known as transceivers, used in aeronautics for communication between on-board computers and in civil telecommunications. Said device is a single-channel transceiver, essentially comprising a transmitting optoelectronic part and a receiving optoelectronic part and a specific optical configuration which permits the transmission and receiving of optical signals by means of a single optical port in real time and using the same wavelength. The optical architecture does not include semi-reflective devices which permits a reduction in the losses of light energy on transmitting and receiving optical signals. Said transceivers are particularly suitable for application to optical communication networks of the full duplex monofibre type thus permitting the simultaneous transmission and receiving of signals.
