Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1668995A1] The method involves developing a sinusoidal mathematical model representing a density with respect to an axial position, using parameters, phase and two constants. Density and humidity in several points of a cigarette are measured to find a regression determination coefficient. A shift of a reinforced tip from a position calculated from the phase and parameters, is calculated. An index of reinforcement is calculated from the constants. The parameters are lengths of a tobacco section (L), a cigarette and a filter. An independent claim is also included for a device implementing a cigarette filling profile graphical representation method.
