Compact comprises a cover (10) provided with an inner mirror (60), and a base (20) provided with an intermediate support for cup(s) of cosmetic product (70). The base and cover each have a sidewall and are connected to each other through a hinge (30). The compact gripping area comprises two areas which are located on the base sidewall and on each side of the median plane of the hinge, and which are higher than the remainder of the base sidewall.
