Abstract (en)

The method involves holding a sheet (3) at a leading edge, and discarding the sheet by releasing from the holding. The discarded sheet is moved again subsequently to the edge and brought and further forwarded into a hanging position. The sheet is removed for a reorientation from the horizontal position into the hanging position in a sheet support (3). The sheet is further processed during the conveyance in the hanging position. An independent claim is also included for a device for transporting a sheet that is laid-out by a sheet processing machine.
