Abstract (en)
The method is for the driving of an elevator car (4) driven by a flexible drive element (10), whereby a first auxiliary unit (20) is rigidly attached to the elevator car or movably attached to the drive element, a second auxiliary unit (22) is attached to a guide rail (8.1) at a distance from the first unit, and a third auxiliary unit (24) comprises a flexible auxiliary drive element and an auxiliary operating mechanism (24.2). The elevator car is moved along the guide rail. A first run (24.11) of the auxiliary drive element extends from the first auxiliary unit to the second and third, and a second run (24.12) extends from the second or third unit to the first auxiliary unit. An independent claim is included for an auxiliary drive unit for an elevator car movable along a guide rail.
