Abstract (en)
It is an object of the present invention to obviate the risk that the design of a front panel 26a and the like of an indoor unit may be hampered. An indoor unit 2 of an air conditioner comprises a main body 26a and a first design panel 80. The first design panel 80 is transparent and has mounting portions 91b and a design layer 27a. The mounting portions 91b are provided integrally with the first design panel 80 at a backside portion of the first design panel so as to be mounted to the main body. The design layer 27a is provided on the backside surface of the first design panel 80. In addition, this design layer 27a is at least given a color scheme. On the front side surface of the first design panel 80, at least portions opposite the mounting portions 91b are subjected to a concealing process to conceal the mounting portions.
