[origin: WO2005027690A1] Friction-plate adjusting device for varying in a controlled manner the relative position of two parts (15, 16) in particular of a chair, an armchair or the like, which comprises two sets of plates (2, 3) able to be mounted together parallel to one another on the two parts to be adjusted and partially overlapping each other in a spaced manner along a common section (13). The plates (4, 5) forming part of each set (2, 3) are joined together as one piece by connecting portions (17, 18) formed during the shearing step of the pressing process which envisages subsequently folding the said portions so as to arrange the plates (4, 5) facing each other.
