[origin: WO2005035819A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a locally limited diffusion layer on a metal component consisting in applying a Cr, Si and/or Al and activator-containing paste to the coatable areas of a metal component, hardening said paste in the form of dispenser packing, covering the non-coatable areas adjacent to the dispensing packing with a diffusion blocking powder packing and in heating at a temperature less that 900 DEG C in order to carry out alitising, siliconising and/ or chroming. The use of the inventive method for producing turbine blades is also disclosed.
