Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1672189A2] The system has a pressure controlling valve (6) controlled by temperature of the oil. The valve has a spring (11) compressed between a stop (12) and a compartment (7) filled with solid wax. The valve is actuated for liberating an orifice (8) when temperature of the oil attains a predefined threshold and pressure level in an oil circuit in downstream of an oil cooler (5) is close but lesser than pressure in a volumetric oil pump (2). An independent claim is also included for an engine equipped with an oil temperature controlling system.
