[origin: WO2005039774A1] An industrial shredder (100) is described comprising a fixed supporting structure (1), at least one shaft (2) mounted rotatably in the fixed structure (1) and bearing a plurality of blades (18) provided with cutting teeth (22), a first row of counterblades (10) and a second row of counterblades (16) mounted on the fixed structure (1) on one side and the other with respect to the shaft (2). The cutting teeth (22) are arranged side by side in pairs, and the counterblades (10) of the first row are disposed offset with respect to the counterblades (16) of the second row, so that in each pair of cutting teeth, one cutting tooth (22) cooperates with a counterblade (10) of the first row and the other cutting tooth (22) cooperates with a counterblade (16) of the second row.
