Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005037463A2] The invention relates to a method for binding a cylinder sleeve that is made of gray cast iron, steel, aluminum, or an aluminum alloy to a composite member comprising aluminum and at least one cylinder sleeve made of gray cast iron, steel, aluminum, or an aluminum alloy. Said method comprises the following step: a surface coating that is based on an aluminum alloy having a surface roughness of at least 200 ñm is applied to at least one surface area of the cylinder sleeve which is made of gray cast iron, steel, aluminum, or an aluminum alloy. The invention further relates to a cylinder sleeve comprising such a surface coating and a composite member that encompasses a cylinder sleeve which is provided with such a surface coating.
