Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006018282A1] The invention relates to an air conditioner for working spaces, comprising an air conditioner housing which is provided with at least one inlet (3) for the ambient air that is to be cooled and at least one outlet (4) for the chilled ambient air. Said air conditioner further comprises at least one fan (9) as a suction ventilator in the area of the ambient air inlet. Said fan (9) conveys the ambient air that is to be cooled through a heat exchanger (10) located in the air conditioner housing (2) and out of the housing. The at least one ambient air outlet (4) is positioned on a lateral face of the housing (2) while the top face (6) of the air conditioner housing is closed for letting ambient air into the housing. Furthermore, the ambient air that is to be cooled can be suctioned by means of at least one inlet located in the sidewall of the air conditioner housing, and the delivered air flow and the discharged air flow are arranged horizontally or nearly horizontally while being offset from each other by about 90°.
