Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005034009A2] The invention relates to a security housing (6) which can be connected to a computer (4), a mobile telephone and, more generally, a device for the treatment and transmission of information, i.e. a self-supplied port (5), securing access of said device (4) to a network (3). The exchanged data (1) is intercepted and travels via the housing (6). The housing assumes all or part of the basic security functions, including authentication of the user, filtering and/or encryption/decryption of data and the storage of secret cryptographic keys (19,22). Interception occurs via a logic module (9) which is remotely loadable from the security housing (6). The data to be treated, the data already treated and data used to control the housing (6) is identified by tagging (11). The invention can also be used to encrypt/decrypt information to be sent to/obtained from a data storage medium.
