[origin: WO2005036477A1] The invention relates to a security document, especially a bank note, comprising a security document substrate and at least three different marking substances which are used to examine the security document which comprises at least one first marking substance. A second and a third marking substance are jointly applied to the security document substrate in a printing ink. The second marking substance is formed by a luminescent material and the third marking substance is formed by a material which is absorbent in a special spectral region.
