Abstract (en)
The invention provides a diesel fuel composition containing a diesel base fuel and a palm oil alkyl ester (POAE), wherein the POAE concentration is up to 25 % v/v based on the overall composition. Further provided is the use of a POAE in a diesel fuel composition for the purpose of improving its cold flow performance. The POAE is preferably used at a concentration, between 0 and 100 % v/v based on the overall fuel composition, at which its ability to reduce the cold filter plugging point of the composition reaches a maximum.
