Abstract (en)

The starting process is for a vehicle heater (10) with a combustion chamber group (12), a fuel supply device (22), an ignition device (24), a control device (26) voltage setting device (28) and a current setting device (30). It consists of excitation of the ignition device, checking if the electricity used in the ignition device reached a preset start energy reference value at or before a first set time point, and when the reference value is reached, starting the fuel supply to the combustion chamber group of the heater.
