[origin: WO2005040942A1] A device including a supporting tube (10) attached to a watch case (3), a toothed drive shaft (11) extending through the supporting tube (10) for controlling at least one watch function, a crown (12) including a crown head (13) and a toothed tube (14) rigidly connected thereto and rotatably and translatably mounted between the inner wall (10') of the supporting tube (10) and the drive shaft (11), and an indexing gasket (18) inserted into the inner wall (10') of the supporting tube (10) and engaging first and second grooves (19, 20) in the outer surface of the movable tube (14) so as to define a first axial position of the crown (12), in which the movable tube (14) engages the drive shaft (11) and can impart a torque thereto, and a second axial position of the crown (12), in which the movable tube (14) is uncoupled from the drive shaft (11), respectively.
