[origin: EP1676796A1] The device has a magazine screen end task station (2), to which flat products (1) are supplied in a pile. The task station (2) has a back support (3), against which the flat products (1) with an impact side rest and where in a moving direction, behind the task station (2) a mechanism is arranged for isolating (6) the flat products (1). The back support (3) is in connection with a shaker (10), with which oscillation of it occasionally shifts a part (8) of the back support (3). The oscillations provide precise flat products (1) concerning the impact side. The shaker shifts the back support (3) in vertical direction. The oscillations produce horizontal components. The amplitude and or the frequency and or the direction of the oscillations produced by the shaker are changeable during shaking. An independent claim is included for a method.
