Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1676951A1] A dewatering device (1) for a twin-wire former, especially on a paper machine, in which the skimmer shoe (12) is attached to a bearing structure (13) by at least one adjusting device (14) which enables the spacing between (12) and the adjacent wire (8) in the twin-wire zone (6) to be adjusted as required. A dewatering device (1) for a twin-wire former in a machine for the production of fibrous sheet, especially paper or cardboard from pulp suspension(s) (2), comprising a former unit (3) (especially a forming roller (4)) with two wires (sieves; 7, 8) running over at least part of the roller circumference (5) in the wire running direction (S) and forming a twin-wire zone (6) for the uptake of (2), a suction box (9) with at least one front wall (10), mounted at least mainly after unit (3) in direction S and opposite wire (8), and having a skimmer device (11) on the inlet side of the box, which is mounted on the delivery side opposite (3) in the region of the twin-wire zone (6) and has a skimmer shoe (12) at a distance (A) from the wire (8). The skimmer shoe (12) is attached to a bearing structure (13) by at least one adjuster (14) which enables the spacing (A) to be adjusted as required.
