[origin: EP1677258A2] Device for producing a tariff label for postal items has scales (1) for measuring the weight of a postal item, a measurement device (5, 6) for determining at least a dimension of a postal item, a processing device for determining an appropriate tariff dependent on the weight and at least a dimension and a label ejector (12) for output of a tariff label corresponding to the determined tariff. The invention also relates to a postal item franking and sending system.
