[origin: US2007003756A1] The invention relates to a method for production of a plastic body, made from a plastic obtained by means of a radical polymerisation with single- or multi-sided, inorganic coating containing silicon. The coating of a substrate is firstly achieved with a paint composition, containing inorganic particles in a solvent which can optionally contain additional flow improvers. One or more of such coated substrates can be used for the construction of a polymerisation chamber, in which the coated sides lie within the chamber. After radical polymerisation of a monomer mixture in the presence of a polymerisation initiator, the internal inorganic coating of the substrate transfers into or onto the surfaces of the radically polymerised plastic or of the plastic body. The invention further relates to the corresponding plastic body and the uses thereof.
