[origin: WO2005044553A1] A composite insulation material, particularly for said insulation, comprises a thick layer substantially of thermobonded fine fibre adhered to a thin layer substantially of polypropylene micro fibre. The composite material has low density, low mass per unit area, and improved said attenuation over the audible frequency range. Various external layers and/or coatings may be optionally applied.
