[origin: EP1679448A1] Apparatus for processing bulk materials (e.g. mixing, comminuting, dosing or sieving) has a connector (20) between a vessel (40) and an external rotary drive (10) together with a workpiece (30) driven on a horizontal axis and is such that (A) vessel (40) is releasable fixed to connector (20); (B) a shaft (33) of workpiece (30) is releasably held and is releasably connected to drive (10); and (C) a loose gap seal (50) seals vessel (40) against shaft (33).
