Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005046002A1] The invention relates to a flat tip jack (1) comprising a shaft which is used to electrically contact a receiving element of a flat plug. The tip jack shaft comprises at least one group of contact links (3) which are arranged in a comb-type manner on the wide side of the tip jack shaft, said contact links being essentially parallel and extending in the direction of plugging. Contact links (3) are curved in an inward manner on the centre of the tip jack shaft. According to the invention, said flat tip jack (1) is characterised in that the section of the contacts links (3), which are curved towards the centre of the jack, comprises more than one vertex (6, 7) in the region of the contact area with the flat tip jack. Said inventive flat tip jack enables electric plug-in connections, for example, with contact blades of flat plugs and/or safety devices or relay, to be carried out in a particularly reliable manner. In addition to the improvement with respect to current carrying capacity, safety and uniformity of the power distribution when plugged-in, the invention also relates to economical advantages based on rational producibility.
