Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1681044A1] The teat (1) for drinking vessels, especially for baby's bottles, is of elastic material and has a nipple element (3) for holding in the mouth of the infant, and with a slot arrangement (4) in the top end region of the nipple element. To establish a preferred biting direction (e) the nipple element is flattened and the slot arrangement has at least one curved slot which opens under pressure in the direction of bite and is closed in the pressure-less state. The slot extends approximately in the direction of bite.
