Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1681045A1] The teat (1) for a drinking vessel, especially for a baby's bottle, is made of elastic material with a nipple element (3) for holding in the mouth of an infant, and a slot arrangement in the region of the front end of the nipple element. To establish a preferred direction of bite (e) the nipple element is flattened, and the slot arrangement has a curved slot opening under pressure in the direction of bite, and closed in the pressure-less state, whereby the slot extends approximately in the direction of bite. The nipple element with regard to a principal middle axis (A1) is inclined at an angle (alpha ).
