Abstract (en)
The grit or salt scattering vehicle, to treat icy roads in winter, has a container for the material and at least one rotating spreader plate with a control for the material feed and the spreader plate drive. At least one rotating plate is a deep spreader, placed at a height of 25 cm or less over the road surface. The vehicle has preferably two rotating spreader plates, with one at a low level and the other at a standard height above the road surface. The lower plate rotates at a faster speed than the higher plate.
