[origin: EP1681906A1] The radiator (100) has a hollow body profile (104) of metal, preferably aluminum, and a heating element positioned in the hollow body. The radiator has at least one prefabricated sealing element (108) for the sealing of the heating element in relation to the environment and which is pressed into the hollow body. The hollow body profile is formed by an extruded section. The heating element comprises a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) element. An independent claim is included for a method for the manufacturing of a radiator in which a sealing element is fitted in the hollow body profile of the radiator and the hollow body profile then pressed.
