[origin: WO2005044739A1] An electrolytic cell (1) for the production of a halogen biocide from an aqueous solution with an electrolyses process comprises an enclosure (5) and electrode plates (2, 3, 4). The enclosure (5) consists of two parts which are connected by at least one connector (9). Only few components are used to build up the cell. This allows easy manufacturing of the cell, also in developing countries.
