Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005042459A1] The invention relates to a long-life method for two-stage heterogeneously-catalysed gas phase partial oxidation of propene into acrylic acid. According to said method, the temperature of the fixed catalyst beds is increased overtime; the gas phase partial oxidation is interrupted from time to time and, when the temperature of said fixed catalyst beds is increased, a gas mixture, containing oxygen, is led through the fixed catalyst beds.
