[origin: WO2005038268A1] A hydraulic directional control valve of the "open-center" type which comprises a valve housing (11) and a valve spool (14) displaceably accommodated in the valve housing to control flow of hydraulic fluid through the valve. A pressure compensating valve (32, 33) is disposed in a work port (30, 31) to be connected to an actuator and subjects the exiting flow of hydraulic fluid to pressure compensation.
