[origin: GB2407039A] A blast mitigation structure includes free standing frames 2 having channel sections and thereby being adapted for receiving liquid containing rupturable bags 3 to form a protective structure for mitigating the effects of an explosion. The frames 2 may be made of aluminium or reinforced plastic and have apertures (5, fig 3) such that the exposed parts of each rupturable bag 3 are in the direct path of an explosion. The structure may be formed as part of a wheeled vehicle (fig 8), such as a trolley, and the bags 3 may be connected together.
